On July 9th, JSOU held a professional ethics lecture named Chinese Dream, Beauty of Labor and an appointment ceremony of part-time professors in Dinghuaimen Campus. Hu Sheng, senior technician of CNC lathe from the No.14 Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, was invited and employed as a part-time professor in JSOU. JSOU vice president Zhang Yibin, teacher representatives, heads of departments and labor branch committees attended the lecture.
Hu Sheng is a leading master in the field of precision processing and manufacturing in China. He made outstanding contribution to the invention of new-generation domestic warning aircraft and won many awards, such as Craftsmen of The Year, May 1st National Labor Medal, National Skill Master, and National Technical Experts. Hu also receives special government allowances from the State Council. He is an excellent inheritor and outstanding representative of model worker spirit, labor spirit and craftsman spirit. Hu has been a part-time professor in Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and many other universities.
All the faculty and staff attending the meeting watched the short film Great Country Craftsman Hu Sheng: Carving Art on Metal, which was interviewed and produced by CCTV news channel. Zhang Yibin awarded Hu Sheng the letter of appointment since JSOU hired him as a part-time professor. Hu has carried out deep cooperation with JSOU School of Information and Electrical Engineering in teaching. His participation will effectively promote the construction of electromechanical and other related majors, as well as the construction of labor education and teachers' ethics.
After the appointment ceremony, Hu Sheng gave a report on the theme of Simplicity, Persistence, Perseverance and Achievement of Craftsman Spirit. He shared his experience of participating in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and expressed his great excitement when he saw the parts used in the military helicopters were made by his own team.
